In partnership with the composer Gillian Walker, Edinburgh Bach Choir is running an exciting competition for young composers. The remit is to write a short Advent carol, with a view to the winning entry being performed by the choir at our Christmas concert in Edinburgh on 13th December. The deadline for submissions is 27th June, and shortlisting will take place over the summer. Four finalists will be invited to a recording and rehearsal with the choir in late October, and the winning entry will be announced on 28th October. In addition to having their work performed by the Edinburgh Bach Choir, the winner will receive a prize of £200.
